A Move Order is an internal request to move stock — between the warehouse Stores and a person or a department area. Every order has a reference like MO-000123 and moves through Open → In Progress → Completed (or Cancelled), with a progress count of lines done (e.g. 2 / 5).
The two directions
- Delivery — bring items from Stores to a person or an area (you need stock delivered to you).
- Collection — send items from an area back to Stores (you have stock to hand in).
A delivery can be addressed two ways:
- To an area — anyone with access to that area can accept it.
- To a person — leave the area blank and it is delivered to you (the requester).
Who does what
- Requester — creates and monitors their own orders on Warehouse → Move Orders. Needs the Move Order — Requester role.
- Mover — does the physical work (collect, drop off, and — for collections — accept) on Warehouse → Bulk Pick and the order screen. Needs the Move Order — Mover role plus area access to Stores / the area.
- Recipient — for a delivery, the person or area member who accepts the hand-over.
- Manager — oversees every order on Move Orders — Manage. Needs the Move Order — Manager role.
The floor relay — collect, drop off, accept
A move is tracked in three steps so stock is never lost in transit:
- Collect — pick the stock from the source (Stores for a delivery; the area for a collection).
- Drop off — the collected stock is dropped at the destination side.
- Accept — the receiving party accepts the hand-over (a digital transfer of responsibility).
When every line is accepted, the order is Completed.
Step-by-step guides
- Delivery to an area
- Delivery to a person — "deliver to me", no area
- Collection — sending stock to Stores
- Bulk Pick (by area) — the mover's main working screen
Monitoring your orders
- The Move Orders list shows your own orders plus any in areas you can access. Filter with Open / Closed / All. Each card shows the MO number, type, a status chip, lines done (x / y), the product and the destination.
- Move Orders — Manage (managers) is the full board with per-field filters.
- Every order has its own chat channel — tap the speech-bubble icon next to the MO number to ask about that specific order.
Good to know
- A delivery can only move stock physically in Stores; a collection moves stock in your area.
- Asking for more than is in stock is allowed but flagged amber — the mover collects what is available (partial fulfilment).
- The reference MO-000123 appears everywhere — the lists, the chat channel and the mover's screen — so an order is easy to trace end to end.
