Files documents from your own My Documents onto employees' HR profiles (the Documents tab in HR). Upload only: it cannot open, list or describe anyone's existing HR documents or profile. You need the HR write permission.
Claude cannot take a file from the chat. Put the scans in My Documents in myWork first (or in the synced myWork Documents folder on your PC), for example in a folder called HR inbox. Claude then files each one by its name and what you tell it, without reading it.

Ask it things like
- File the contracts in my HR inbox.
- Attach Thabo's ID copy to his profile, it expires 2031-03-14.
- Put the medical certificates in my HR inbox on the right profiles.
What it can change
Files a file from your own drive onto an employee's profile. Before filing it shows you the whole batch as a table (file, employee with worker ID, document type, expiry date) and waits for your yes. Each document lands unverified: HR verifies it on the employee's Documents tab. The drive file moves to your Trash (My Documents, Trash). If one went to the wrong person, restore it from the Trash and remove the wrong document on the employee's Documents tab in myWork.
What it will not do
- read, summarise or describe what a document says
- guess the employee, the document type or an expiry date (if two people match, it asks)
- file a file someone shared with you: its owner has to file it
- say a document is verified or checked
- show an employee's existing documents or profile (HR uses the employee's page in myWork for that)
Good to know
- It works as you. It sees only what you can see in myWork, and anything it changes is recorded under your name.
- Before it changes anything, Claude shows you exactly what it will do and waits for your yes. Read it: you are the one making the change.
- A refusal ("you don't have permission", 403) is a myWork permission question. Ask your manager; Claude will not try another way round it.
