Internal courier - driver guide (My Deliveries)

Edit

This guide is for drivers — the people who collect and deliver parcels for our own internal courier. Everything here happens on your phone, so it works the same on the floor or on the road. You'll see this screen if you have the Courier Driver role.

Your delivery day: open My Deliveries, see your route, start it in Maps, collect, deliver and sign, done.

Find your deliveries

Open Shipping & Receiving › My Deliveries. You'll see a card for every delivery assigned to you:

  • To do (the default) — deliveries still to collect or deliver.
  • Done — recently completed deliveries (read-only, with their proof of delivery).

Each card shows the waybill (WB-…), where it's going, how many parcels, and your scheduled time if one was set. Tap a card to open it.

Your route — see all your stops on one map

At the top of My Deliveries (in the To-do view) is a Your route map showing all your stops as numbered pins. The numbers are the best driving order — the app works out a sensible route along real roads, and shows the total distance and drive time (e.g. "15.0 km · 24 min drive") so you know what your run looks like before you leave.

Combine nearby stops. If some of your stops are close together, you'll see an orange tip like "2 of your 3 stops are within 2 km of each other — do them together in one trip." Doing nearby drops in one go saves you time and fuel.

Start the whole route in one tap

Tap Start route in Maps (top-right of the route panel). This opens Google Maps with every stop loaded in order, so you get turn-by-turn navigation through your whole run without typing addresses. When you finish one stop, Maps moves you to the next.

Prefer to go to just one delivery? Every card also has its own Navigate button that opens Maps straight to that single stop.

A stop isn't on the map? Some deliveries were booked without a proper address, so they have no pin (you'll see a note saying how many). You can still open each one and use its Navigate button. Ask the office/dispatcher to add its location so it joins your route next time.

Work each delivery

  1. Open the delivery — check the Deliver to address, the parcels, and any special instructions (gate codes, who to ask for, etc.).
  2. Pick up the goods, then tap Mark collected.
  3. Once you're on the road you can tap Mark in transit (optional — it just tells the office you're on your way).
  4. At the destination, tap Mark delivered. This opens the proof-of-delivery screen.
  5. Capture the signature — hand the phone to whoever receives the parcels and let them sign. You can also type who received it and add a photo of the delivered goods or the door (optional).
  6. Tap Complete delivery. The delivery is now Delivered and the proof of delivery is saved to the waybill.

A signature is required. If you tap Complete delivery without a signature, the app stops you with "A signature is required to complete the delivery." Just sign and try again.

Open a delivery and tap Print waybill (next to the waybill number) to open the printable PDF.

Something went wrong?

If you can't complete a delivery — nobody's there, the address is wrong, a parcel is damaged — tap Report issue, describe what happened, and submit. The office is notified and the delivery is flagged as an Exception. It isn't closed: you (or someone else) can still finish it later once it's sorted.

Good to know

  • You only ever see deliveries assigned to you — your list won't show other drivers' jobs.
  • You can re-open a Done delivery to look at its proof of delivery, but you can't change it.
  • The route and the map need a data connection; if you're offline the Start route button still works once Maps has loaded.

See Internal courier deliveries (overview) for the big picture of how it all fits together.
