Hours Analytics
What this guide covers
Hours Analytics (People ? Attendance ? Hours Analytics) is a read-only analytics report of hours and overtime across the workforce - KPI cards, an overtime chart, and a switch between an Employee and a Department view. Use it to spot trends and where overtime is building up. For the plain row-per-employee numbers, use Employee hours for HR instead.
Who can open it: the Attendance report permission (
ATTENDANCE_REPORT).
What's on the screen
- Window presets - quickly set the reporting period (and a custom range).
- KPI cards - headline hours and presence figures for the window.
- Overtime chart - a bar chart of overtime so you can see where it concentrates.
- Employee / Department toggle - analyse by individual or roll up by department.
- Excel export - download the underlying figures.
For what the figures mean (ordinary hours, overtime rates, authorised vs unauthorised), see How working time is calculated.
Using it
- It's read-only - for monitoring and analysis, not for changing anything. To authorise overtime, a manager uses Manage hours.
- Use the Department view to compare teams, then switch to Employee to drill into who is driving a department's overtime.
