Daily monitoring & attendance reports

Daily monitoring & attendance reports

What this guide covers

The read-only screens HR uses to see what attendance actually shows — a live daily snapshot plus three reports that drill from summary to the raw scans. None of these change data; they're for monitoring, investigating anomalies, and exporting.

Who can open them: attendance-module access (a manager sees their team; an attendance admin sees all).

Schedule Analysis (the daily dashboard)

The Attendance Dashboard shows everyone's status for a chosen date: shift plan, clock in/out (or "Active Shift" if still clocked in), total time, status (Present / In progress / Absent / …), any discrepancy flag, and flexi / pending-OT. If a day looks wrong, Re-Run Analysis forces a recalculation for that date. This is your same-day "who's in, who's late, who's missing" view.

The three reports

Report What it shows Use it to…
Detail Attendance (Weekly Hour Report) Per-employee, per-day (or per-week/month) detail: expected vs actual shift start/end with tolerance bands, break, work time, status, pending OT, manual-override flag. Daily / Weekly / Monthly view modes. Investigate one person's timekeeping in depth; export Excel or the full HR Report.
Daily Presence Log One row per employee for a chosen day: status, clock in/out, break, day total. A clean roster of who was present/absent/on-leave on a given day.
Raw Scans Report Every raw device scan for a day — time, direction (In/Out), device, the day's status, and whether the row was manually edited. A "holiday / rest-day workers only" toggle + counts. Audit the source data: spot badge-sharing, clock skew, or scans on days off.

All three filter by department (and status/scan filters where relevant) and export to Excel.

How they relate

Think of it as zoom levels: Daily Presence (who, today) → Detail Attendance (why a person's hours look like that) → Raw Scans (the exact device events behind it). When a number is disputed, work down that chain.

Good to know

  • These are read-only. To correct a day, use the Daily Attendance Monitor in Schedule Management; to authorise extra hours, use Manage hours.
  • Raw Scans is the truth check — if Detail Attendance looks wrong, the scans (or a sync failure) usually explain it.
  • Mind the date/department filters before exporting, so the spreadsheet matches what you intend.
  • Schedule Management — correct a day, or fix scan-sync problems.
  • Manage hours — authorise or decline beyond-schedule hours.
  • Attendance status field definitions — what each status badge means.
