What this guide covers
Browsing the warehouse locations you have access to — the physical bins / shelves / zones that stock lives in — seeing what each one holds, and picking from it. Warehouse Locations is the day-to-day, area-gated navigator.
Creating locations, marking them obsolete and printing labels are not on this page any more. Those tools moved to Location Management (Warehouse → Location Management). For which products live where see Product Locations. For which serial numbers live where see SerialNumber Location.
Where to find it
Open Locations → Warehouse Locations. The page title is "Warehouse locations" and the header shows how many locations match your filters. A kicker link at the top jumps to Product Locations.
Who can do what
Regular user (any logged-in account, area-gated) — view the locations in your areas, filter them, open a location's inventory, pick items via the picking dialog.
Cost viewer — the Export button (filtered location items with cost, to Excel) appears only for users allowed to see cost.
Site admin (ADMIN) — sees every area.
Creating, archiving, typing and label-printing locations need the LocationManagement permission and happen on Location Management.
Finding a location
Search — the box at the top matches name, area and description.
Area — a quick dropdown to show only one area.
Filters — opens the advanced panel: Name pattern (Contains / Starts with / Wildcard / Regex, e.g. Z[A-C] or ZA*), Building and Floor level (from the warehouse map), Type (Floor, Shelf (palletized only), Hand picking only), On the map (placed / not placed), Occupancy (occupied / empty) and Size (W / H / D min and max). Click Apply filters; Clear all resets.
Active filters appear as chips above the table, each with its own clear link. The badge on the Filters button shows how many are active.
Reading the table
Location — [Area] name. Click it to open the location's items.
Building / floor — where it sits on the warehouse map, or "—" if not assigned.
Type — the location type, or "—" if untyped.
On map — whether it has been placed on a floor plan ("not placed" otherwise).
Items — how many stacks it holds ("empty" if none).
Expanding a location lists its items with [CODE] description, quantity, an Is Serialized badge and a Pick button.
Picking from a location
Click Pick on an item to open the picking dialog and move a quantity (or specific serials) into your own personal inventory. The normal rules apply: you need access to the area, and stock locked to a shipment or job cannot be taken. See My Inventory - the stock you are holding for what happens next.
Tips and gotchas
Locations are area-scoped. Filter by area to find what you're looking for; the global list can be huge.
Obsolete locations do not appear here. They stay in the database for history and can be restored on Location Management.
Need a bin that doesn't exist yet, a label, or a bin retired? Ask someone with the Location Management permission — that page has Create locations…, Print labels and Mark obsolete.
