My Assigned Equipment

Edit

Dashboard → "My Assigned Equipment". Everyone has it, no permission needed.

Everything the company has signed out to you personally — tools, a laptop, PPE — with when you got it and, where it applies, when it is due to be replaced.

Using My Assigned Equipment

My Assigned Equipment is your own slice of the register. Open it from the "My stuff" grid on the dashboard. It lists each unit with its tag, product and serial, "Held since" and "Due" dates, and an "overdue" flag when a replacement date has passed. A "needs tag" marker shows a unit whose physical tag has not been confirmed yet. Click a row to open the unit's detail page.

What My Assigned Equipment shows

Everything currently assigned to you, and nothing else — not your team's, not the warehouse's. Items you still hold in the old per-user gear bins are listed here too.

What you can do here

See what you are responsible for. If something on this list is not actually in your possession, say so. The list is what the company believes.

Accept a hand-over. When a colleague offers you a unit it appears at the top of the page under "Hand-offs awaiting your acceptance". Click "Review & sign", sign on the unit's "Equipment hand-over" panel and press "Accept" — only then does it become yours. You can also "Decline". Nobody can push equipment onto you without your signature.

Hand something on. On the unit's page, under "Hand this equipment to another person", pick the person and click "Hand over". It stays yours until they sign. Until they accept you can "Cancel hand-off".

Ask for a replacement. On the unit's "Replacement" panel, give a reason and click "Request replacement". If you are asking before the replacement date — or the unit has no date — the reason is required, and the request is flagged "Early" to whoever decides. You cannot approve your own request; that is somebody else's job.

Returning a unit is not something you do from this screen. "Return to pool" sits in the admin-only "Manage" panel, so hand the unit to the person or admin who takes it back and they record the return with a condition of good, worn or damaged.

Replacement dates are an estimate

A replacement date is worked out from the category's expected lifetime. It is a prompt to look at the thing, not a deadline and not permission to bin it. Plenty of kit outlives its date perfectly well. A unit whose category has no lifetime shows "No lifetime set for this category".

About signing

Where a category asks for it, you sign to accept responsibility. The timing depends on the flow: for a hand-over you sign before you receive it; when you place your own stock into service you sign when you ask, because you already have it (see Place in Service: asking for an item to be tracked).

Signatures are collected wherever a category asks for one, but they are not yet enforced on every path — you may hold older items with nothing on file. That backlog is being worked through gradually.

If something is wrong

If My Assigned Equipment lists something you do not have, or is missing something you do, say so rather than working around it. The list is what the company believes it has assigned to you.

  • Tracked Asset Register — the full register that admins see; your page is the "mine" view of the same screen.
  • Replacement Fulfilment (Equipment Replacements) — what happens after you ask.
