Creates a complete product in myWork from a supplier link or a part number: description, category, dimensions and weight, photo and datasheet. Creating a product writes to Unleashed straight away, so it always shows you a summary first. You need permission to create products.
Connector: myWork Products · Skill: mywork-product-creator
Ask it things like
- Create this product: https://…
- Add the Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000 as a product.
- Product BOL-10X20 has no datasheet or weight. Complete it.
- INTEK-DC-120KW/E is an AC-DC charger. Put it in the right place.
- Add a rated power field to EV Chargers and fill it in for our chargers.
What it can change
Creates or completes a product (pushed to Unleashed), sets its photo and attaches its documents (datasheet, certificate, drawing…). It checks for a duplicate first and asks you which category when more than one fits. When none fits, it first checks whether the difference is a field on the parent (EV Chargers have a charge conversion field, not AC / DC sub-categories); only when the products are a different kind with their own specs does it propose a new category, and creates it once you say yes. It never uses a retired category. It can add fields (specs such as rated power or connector type) to a category and fill them in on products; the fields are what the product list filters by, so it makes them numbers or pick-lists, not free text. Categories and fields stay in myWork (nothing goes to Unleashed) and need the Product - Category Manager role (ask IT). Afterwards it tells you what it set and what it left empty, and why.
What it will not do
- invent a dimension, weight, part number or price: if no source states it, it stays empty
- create a category or a field without your yes, or one for a size, brand, supplier or project (those are fields or tags)
- attach a web page or a login page as a datasheet
Good to know
- It works as you. It sees only what you can see in myWork, and anything it changes is recorded under your name.
- Before it changes anything, Claude shows you exactly what it will do and waits for your yes. Read it: you are the one making the change.
- A refusal ("you don't have permission", 403) is a myWork permission question. Ask your manager; Claude will not try another way round it.
