Writes company announcements and events (EVT- numbers) with formatting and pictures, for the whole company, a department or named people. Publishing notifies everyone in the audience, on their phone and in myWork chat, so it never publishes without your clear yes. You need permission to create events; a whole-company audience needs Event Admin.

Ask it things like
- Announce that the canteen is closed on Friday.
- Invite the Production team to the year-end function on 5 December at 17:00.
- Add this picture to EVT-2026-0016: https://…/photo.jpg
- Fix the typo in EVT-2026-0016.
- Cancel the braai, it's raining.
What it can change
Creates an announcement or event as a draft (nobody is told yet), edits it, publishes it on a separate yes and tells you how many people were notified, cancels it with your reason (everyone invited is told), and adds people who joined the targeted departments since it was published. It adds a picture from a public link to an image; it cannot take a file from the chat. To use a picture you have, add it in myWork: Company Events, Edit, the picture button. After publishing, changing the time or the venue messages everyone again; changing the text does not. It tells you which one it is before it sends.
What it will not do
- publish, re-time, move or cancel without your yes
- choose an audience you did not name, or guess a person or department from a name
- send to the whole company unless you hold Event Admin (with Event Create it is your own departments only)
- RSVP for anyone, confirm an attendance register or read birthdays
- invent a date, a place or who to ask
Good to know
- It works as you. It sees only what you can see in myWork, and anything it changes is recorded under your name.
- Before it changes anything, Claude shows you exactly what it will do and waits for your yes. Read it: you are the one making the change.
- A refusal ("you don't have permission", 403) is a myWork permission question. Ask your manager; Claude will not try another way round it.
